  • What modifications should I do?

I have a stock VW Bora V5 and was wondering what sort of mods you guys think I should I do to it. Im a bit of a newbie in the car scene so any advice would be welcomed with open arms.
I know this car isn't the best for modifying when compared to the 4MO V6 but I love this car and it is the best in my eyes :p
I was looking at exhaust and suspension but I don't know what is a good brand or idea and that type of thing

What do you want to use it for? What do you feel is lacking?
Do you want it to be faster? Or handle better? Or just look better?

It will be my daily driver! I would like a bit of performance upgrade, handling is pretty good but can always be improved in. So yes all three categories! What do you suggest to do??
      Thanks

        If I was daily driving a v5.
Coils, wheels, air intake, exhaust, sway bars, bushes, HU, 4mo lip, side skirts, some adjusting of headlight/tail/indicator/grille colour pending what colour the car was, debadge the bora and v5
        Bora gone
        Vento VR6
        MKIV GSW TDI
        7P Touareg TDI

This is pretty much what I have done, minus the air intake and skirts. Next on my list is a tidy up of a few bits that are falling apart, re-do the grill and headlights and then maybe a black interior swap. Problem is that though the v5 is a brilliant all rounder, you'll want some more power soon but there isn't a whole lot of worthwhile performance stuff out there(or any, for that matter).

            My car is white
What exhaust do you recommended? or what do you have on yours?
What is a good brand of coils for a reasonable price?
Thanks heaps for the advice guys!!

White and black always look pretty good if you wanna get rid of some of the chrome bits. I have a muffler that I bought on here and some JOM blueline, super cheap, coilovers that have served me well but are starting to let go.

The main thing to remember with our cars is they look much better with several subtle mods over a few big flashy ones. Make it how you want to.

For a little inspo, check outr VWvortex.com and their mk4 section. Its full of boneheads but there are some really nice cars over in the states.

                If you are upgrading suspension, I'd take a look at the ECS Front End Refresh Kits, as you'll be replacing most of these components eventually anyway;

MKIV Suspension Refresh Kits - Stage 1, 2, or 3

Stage 2 and 3 kits include the AudiTT/R32 Control Arm Bushings

Suspension is always the first mod I'd look at - no point having more power if you're cornering like a boat!
