  • Gti idle problems

    Facts: 1999 mk4 gti AGU
It started out as an unsettled idle which wasn't too bad, but just recently when stopping at lights and such idle is around 1100, much higher than the usual 800.
I suspect the pcv system or a vacuum leak and am wondering where would be the common places to look?
Could it be a dodgey temp sensor?

Check all the vacuum lines and PCV pipes.

The rubber on the PCV pipe from the rocker cover goes all soft and mushy, and prone to leak.

Could it be the 'hockey puck' pressure regulator valve that's doing this?
