Timing chain service on 2001 Bora.. different 24v's?

hey guys,

need some help to confirm all 24v's are the same engines internally? so that if i bought the ECStuning timing chain kit it would fit..
i have a early 24v which is leads not coilpack and engine code is AUE.

now searching this forum it seems like people have paid between $1500-3000 for this service depending on where they went to.. normal mech vs vw/audi mech but iv been quoted $5000 and that my engine has different chains etc..
not saying they are wrong but if anyone could confirm AUE is different would help alot..

iv done some research on the net and everywhere seems to mention Engine Code : AQP/AUE/BDE is all the same Volkswagen Golf 4 2.8 V6 4Motion 1999 - 2003 Car Specs and Technical Auto Data Specifications and Fuel Consumption and MPG

I think the only difference in the chains is single-row vs double-row.

Also worth doing the gears as well, as they wear too.

actually found the correct kit for AUE.

Sorry to revive old thread, did you end up doing this? If so, what was the job like?

I think my girl needs a new chain too. Not sure if its original, but she has 240k's on her now.
