ahh k pierre,I saw it called sleepy on tex,and I followed suit...
bar was bought on ebay damaged sometime ago and DETROIT repaired it for me and it sat there!it doesnt line up on the edge 100%,but thats aftermarket and ive seen much worse ,overall its a hot front end that didnt cost me that much,so why not!
I had to pay for spraying 1 rear door, boot, rear bar and roof...rest was shannons! the difference from new front bar not being fitted, grill and front spoiler came to me,so I only paid a slight difference.
The boys at DETROIT were always happy to accomadate all my mods and always tried to help with the sorting out of money difference so I ended up paying as least as possible......
really the assesor from shannons was also a top bloke who understood the car was a enthusiast car and hense no expense was spared from shannons to make sure the car was 100%,even at the end,the car was also sent for a full steam clean and full detail ($220!)to make sure it was perfect!! how many panel shops do that???
hey,who doesnt need it bigger? hahhhahahahahhahahaha ...very fuhny adrian!
ohh I forgot to mention pierre,I did notice on your front bar the wobbly fill in,which I didnt want to mention here, but since you have no probs pointing out stuff that u have noticed, looks like I might as well too! thats why I didnt go the way you did,I wanted it perfect!!!which DETROIT has no issues in achieving! (perfection takes time kids! no rushing a perfect job!!!)

as some of you are aware,I had a run in with a junkie who decided a $200 sony deck was worthy of destroying a perfectly good interior on my mk4 gti.
So thanks to SHANNONS and DETRIOT CUSTOMS again!! all is nearly back to normal(BETTER!) for the nats!!!!
here are a few shots!
Saw this today truelly f*cking awesome workmanship, to be quite honest they look better than r32 seats!
Pffft. Sif. Maybe the Mk5 standard R32 seats but not the MkIV Konigs or the MkV Recaros. I Must say though, they do look sweet as.
As good as it must be to get a new interior, you are having the worst luck mate. Hope this brings it to an end and you can enjoy your car now without having any more bad luck.
Congrats on the new interior.
thats freaking discraceful what those tossers did, honestly i dont understand how someone can be so stupid, can just picture them running away thinking they are so hillarious, its such a worry....
but i guess its worked out for the best, the new seats/door trims look nice and tidy
just dont go smoking any of those dunhill's lying on the floor in there now!
1999 MK4 GTi 1.8T - Custom Code Stg 1, ECS Stg 1, 14lb Fly, 18" A8's ''Jap cars pull the G-Forces... Euro cars pull the G-Strings...''
have to agree ,mk4 r32 seats are nice but im over the moon with the colour and quality of the new trim. looks almost stock.
in both occasions there was bad luck involved but it always turned out in my favour by a mile! so im very very happy! detriot go that extra mile for their customers and SHANNONS really do take care also!ther is no cutting corners with them!
most of the interior is new now.all window regs in front, new r32 steering wheel, airbag unit with central cover, stereo, climate control, lower half of all plastics on dash inc glove box, gear gaiter and knob ,ashtrays and central tunnel(hand break) plastics and so much more! pics to come!!!
