Hello,
I know this isn't a great real first post, however I've been searching a lot about this, and spoken to a few mechanics.. My GTi has a current issue where as soon as it's up to temp (90 degrees) it'll shutdown, and won't start again until it cools down (give it an hour or two) so I can get a good drive up to 10km before it's useless..
No warning lights occur, or anything. Engine just turns itself off. And we're already dismissed it as a fuelling issue (i.e. tested that and it's not that).
Mechanic reckons it's a possible ignition coils issue, i.e. they are failing due to heat.
Has anyone here experienced this issue before?
Cheers,
Raj
