  • dog bone mount fitted...OMG!

just got my car back from having the thermostat replaced, vacuum and intercooler pipes looked over for leaks and dogbone mount fitted...

there is no more jumping around... i didnt know my car had that much power in 1st! these dog bone mounts are the bomb...highly recomended. only thing is you can feel and hear every little thing the engine is doing because the bushes used in the dog bone mount are alot more stiffer.

10 out of 10 for dog bone mount.

Wich one did you go with? They sure do make one hell of a difference.

I only did the half dog bone and I think that's more than enough. I used the ECS black one (the red one is even harder but only for race spec).

i went with the ecs black... did the full thing...i cant wait to try it out on a cold day... i was boosting today in 39deg heat!!
i found that the car feels alot more direct and positive. i also put in whiteline control arm bushes...also big difference

Hmmm - I might try adding the second part at some point then. Mine does seem to have settled in now after a few thou k's. It's no where near as harsh as it first was. You'll find that it will also change your driving style a bit. Try and be lazy with the clutch with the aircon on and you'll feel your teeth rattling in your head!

You should really feel it some into play when your next at the track. Congrats on the upgrade!

I'll be interested to hear what you think of it after your next track day.

                hey guys..

have you tried the EIP mounts

they dont transmit any awful vibrations thru and still tighten it up..

                seriously.. they are so good..

i figured out how EIP make em..

they are so much nicer to Round town with..

i had a forge dogbone mount..

my GTIs interior really suffered from it..

I had the Neuspeed one put in and I felt the same thing as you. I drove up to the Hunter valley and back and it settled down.

Hopefully it will stay rigid for a while.

Waiting for the rest of the bushes to come in to put them in next weekm

how much are the dogbone mounts?

                    how much to get fitted?

sounds like a good mod to do after i get into the perfomance side of things...

Scroll down half way for the kit, 29.95.

Fitting not that hard for DIY.

Worth fitting TT wishbone inner bushes too. Get them from Audi for about $90.

You can have a look over mine on the A3 at Glenelg. Maybe discuss chipping too.

Hmm sounds like a good mod. I might add in engine mounts to my handling mods list. *Turns pockets out and searches for more dollars*
