Hie guys, dunno if this has been covered before, but, can someone please tell me which type of oil to use on my Golf4 2ltr my2002 manual gearbox. It has 160k on the clock. open to brand suggestions as well.
From the VW stealer you can get the VW/Audi G060726A2 manual transmission oil which is mineral based. Last time I bought some it came in a 1 Liter bottle. You'll need 2. Capacity is 1.9 litres.
Or if you are going to keep the car for a while and want something that exceeds specs for G060726A2 required for your model look for Fuchs Sintofluid FE Synthetic 75W GL-4 manual transmission oil. According to the manufacturer it offers improved viscosity stability over a wide thermal range. You might need to get someone to order it in to Mackay for you. It's hard to find.
