I needed to get my Alternator replaced. I got done for under $1500 but that was trade. Take it to an autoelectrican, dealers would have cost over $2k. Sometimes they can be fixed and that is only a couple hundreds. I would check all the cables and make sure its earthed.
I would ask Fhrx studios where the best place would be. Yes its a car audio shop but you may be able to get a bigger one at a cheaper price.Bora has gone ;( Custom sub box and beige floor mats to suit for sale.

chances are its your battery thats ****ed and not the Alty! my GETEEEYE did that to me!
battery was faulty!
battery replaced the starter motor whirred away even faster
also the other thing that can cause it is a knackerd Ignition switch in the car! it can cause split second cuts of power that will cause the car to register ****ed alternator..
both of the above happend to me and neither time was the alternator!Last edited by ranton-inc; 06-03-2008, 09:01 AM.
