hey guys just seeing what your thoughts are on springs and what brand i should go with?
I have done my homework and i am aware if i get lower springs it will mean to most likely get new shocks that are more firmer..
But im stuck between eibach or H&R... or should i just get a sports cup kit?

You can never go wrong with H&R IMO.
Have you given coilovers a thought at all?

Yeah I had a set of coils in my mk3 but as a daily it's not excitably practical, but at the same time as most people say you get what you pay for and for a good set you have to spend $$$ and I'm still unsure if I want to fork out the cash for them..

Was just seeing if anyone on here has had a set of springs, cup kit and obviously coils, to see what is ideal and a good idea and sensible to a degree hahaha!!

I know exactly what you are saying, They are very harsh lol.
I ran 2" H&R lowering springs when I first bought my car, the ride was good but the car was still way too high, so also depends on how low you want the car to be

2" and still sat high hahah, did you have a set of wheels while you had to springs in? Well I'm looking at 1.5" to 2" drop only due to I'm going to keep my stock wheels on the car and my tyres are also low profile for stock.. But I'm just seeing options out ATM

But yeah coils are harsh and I think I have broken my back enough for now hahah

I'm guessing 2" would be fine with stock wheels. The wheels I was running were 18x9.
Just have a look around and good luck

I had Eibach with stock shocks. 35mm drop, not low enough and a bit bouncy.
I now have H&R springs and Bilstein shocks. 50mm drop and way more comfortable.

Most of my issues were probably due to the stock shocks dying. So make sure you replace both spring and shocks together.
My car now sits with the lowest point at 100mm from the groud, so just legal.

Are you running stock wheels? Because the tyre I have are the standard 195/55r15 so I'm just worried that it might not work out all that well haha..
Also did you buy a cup kit or just springs and then shocks?

i put lowered springs in my gti.. lasted under a month before coils went in... The car will still look like arse at a 1.5-2inch drop, hate to say.

I daily drive my car with $440dollar (delivered) coilovers.. You have to be careful with speed humps etc, but its not that harsh. My missus doesnt even complain.

Save up for coils. Will save you time and money for when you want to go lower. I ride on $440 coils and they arnt really that bad for the price tag.

I bought my car with lowered springs on it. And the ride harshness was exactly the same when I switched to coils. You really do get what you pay for though.
