Hey guys,
Having issues where my 02' model GTI's trip computer only works sometimes. It doesn't seem to be related to heat - sometimes it works even after I've parked outside and the car is too hot to sit in, sometimes it doesn't work when I've parked inside on a cool day.
Beyond this, when the computer is working it doesn't seem to be able to calculate my mileage correctly, for example if I haven't driven far, the computer will indicate that I'm using 25L+/100km - the highest I've seen is 45L/100km. I'm still getting 450km+ per tank though so it's just the calculations are out.
Anyone have any ideas? If anyone has any recommendations for a good VW oriented auto electrician in Sydney I might check it out since I've got dramas with my central locking too.
