    Its the tank with the green lid, just under the Coolant tank and to the right..whatever it is, the levels are low
    Also what fluid should i be topping it up with?

    That's your power steering fluid resoviour(sp??). Full it up only with power steering fluid and you should really only really be using the oem stuff. Does your car whine a lot when making slow speed turns?

      Power steering. Someone asked this in the Polo section last week also.
      If there is fluid on the end of the stick inside then it is full. It is not like the engine oil dipstick with a hash marking. If the end is wet its OK.
      Only use EOM fluid as ATF is not the correct fluid, the only place I could find it was the dealer. $20/litre or so. I needed about 150mils to top up after leaking for 5 years.
      The telltale signs of low fluid are are a loud whining when approaching or at full lock, or turning steering while stationary.

        I just recently checked mine too and found it was below min. From my research the most recommended fluid is Pentosin CHF 11S.
