  • Fuse 11 & 15 (instruments) - which one is meant to be permanent?

    Hi Folks,
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a Mk4? I'm trying to find out which of the above fuse is meant to have permanent power. My daughter's Golf is losing power to clock and trip meter - when you turn it off.
    Thanks,
    Rob

Built 10/99 - not sure about engine code. (Noob question): how do I find out?

In the owner's manual or on the engine t.belt cover.
But, it's so easy to take the voltmeter and just measure which fuse has the constant 12V positive on.

I've already put a multimeter on it - neither fuse has permanent power to them. Hence me asking - one of them must have permanent power, so the trip meter and clock can keep memory - with the ignition off.

No. 15 is connected to +12V all the time
No. 11 is only with ignition ON

              Thanks Transporter!

I just have to wait for her to arrive home with it, so I can do some more P.D.

              Cheers,
