I bought my Bora because it was the best of both worlds, a daily driver and slightly sporty plus I can tow with it on the weekends also a long distance cruiser.

If I had wanted an all out sports car I would have gotten an R32 GTR or Mitsu EVO or something similar.

You really need to make a break between the head and the heart.

I hear you qsilverzr. Ive owned an R32 GTR, they are too old now. Ive also owned an EVO6.5. I have looked at EVO7s but they are too plasticy, are not popular with the wife, and are still going for high 20s. There are many examples of Bora 4motions around $20k.

I reckon with a Milltek exhaust, a koni/H&R suspension setup with RSB (maybe Nuespeed), and a K&N intake, and maybe an ECU flash, I will be happy with the Bora. I saw another one last night that was very tight and has ben babied all its life and it handled much better than others Ive driven.

Very happy with my Bora. More than happy to take you for drive if you ever come to Perth.

hey Daniel, too bad you are in Perth as your car is modded just about exactly as I would want. How much an effect have each of your mods had? Was the Superchip worth it? How much was it? Sorry, lots of questions, I might PM you to discuss

I have had one for 2 years now:
              Pros:
decent suspension ( needs upgrading if your serious )
              great interior
seat warmers ( awesome for winter )
good engine, constantly makes more powerful engines work hard
              good gearbox
              clutch is light

              Cons:
              Exhaust sounds like poo
              expensive to fix
              could have less weight
AWD system not so AWD which makes it tricky in wet ( Haldex controller fixes that )
              Needs a bigger boot
              sides need side skirts
stock brakes fade quickly ( slotted 4000 series + decent pad fix that )

Overall it is a decent car. As mentioned Evo / WRX / GTR are straight performance but when you sit in them they feel very cheap. Any car will respond with a suspension over hall. Basic N/A mods, filter + exhaust + chip should see you gain around 30-50kw at the fly. Main thing is depending on the chip, if you tune them to run only a 98oct+ map then your increase your torque to about 320Nm.
Bora has gone ;( Custom sub box and beige floor mats to suit for sale.
