They aren't the correct headrests. You're right, they should be leather ..

Seats look great! I am happy to swap cars with you now. Ha ha. Make sure you walk up the road and get some good leather cleaner/ leather care. It will make them softer and last longer. I use meguiars wipes. Easy to use and no mess!

Hold the phone, what are your old seats like? Would they fit in a mk3 4 door? Only want the front ones and are they for sale?

need to weld in mk4 rails or change the base to a mk4 setup.
so can be done, but not bolt in.

Get onto R32OC or vwvortex in them Mk4 R32 classifieds... Quite often there are full cars being parted out etc. Might be your best bet?

Don't even waste your time with local VW, last time I priced one up, it was like 4-500 from memory LOL

What about using leather headrests out of a bora? Not 100% sure they'd fit but they look like they would. Be heaps easier to find.

Good idea. Arn't the bora ones open and the R32 ones solid? Doesn't matter, would still look ok

Great idea I should pinch the ones out of my Mum's bora and replace them with the cloth ones...!!! The bora ones are open ones (in the one she owns) but are leather...I will see what they look like.

Nice one mate, would love a set of R seats as well! Another mate over here has recently put a set into his Bora Yeah the rear headrests from the R32 are taller than the GTI cloth set so that might be reason they got swapped. I never realised that R32 had been written off after they hit the barrier.
