Simon's V5 Bora

As some of you already know, I was lucky enough to win a V5 Bora in the raffle at the 2013 Volkswagen Nationals.
Thanks to Matt and Camden GTI for such a great prize.
Car has 200,000km's on the clock but still runs as if it had just left the factory. Sunroof, leather seats, climate control (a/c currently not working) not bad for a FREE CAR. (Cruise control also seems to be on the brink)
Plan is for this to be my daily/ stance pig, as I'd rather not drive my 4motion Bora daily and it is no longer low (illest)


Couldn't help myself and tried on my BMW X5 wheels. Will do the trick quite nicely when I can afford some cheap coilovers.
Had some doubts whether they would fit or not, since fwd seem to have different offset requirements to awd Boras.
Seem to fit fine though, but will see for sure once lowered.

That's cool about the wheels too, you're only the second person I've known to have them (except those who drive an Audi Q5 of course!). I'm probably going to powder coat mine a different colour though, something to go with the new colour I'm going for

So had a busy day yesterday with the help of Zalemate.

Out came the angle grinder for the vortex swaybar delete


In went some TA Technix coilovers from dylan8 and on went my trusty old BMW X5 wheels.
19x9 ET33
19x10 ET33



Will need a chassis notch to go any lower, already a lot of grinding going on! Had to notch 1mm off coilovers since it was rubbing a bit.


For those that aren't in the know, here is the same wheels on my 4Motion Bora

Also forgot that I fitted new pads and rotors a fortnight ago.
Upgraded from the 288mm stock fronts to 312mm.
