  • turbo vr6 engineering etc

    hi,
if you wanted to turbo a vr6 do you get it all fitted then take to an engineer to do what ever needs to be done or do you have to apply for what you want doing first?

if police dont check your car are there any repurcusions until its all legal?
and if your insurance now about it will they ask for proof etc?

    cheers Rob

You risk things like voiding your insurance etc... not worth the pain to do it illegally.

Different states have different requirements for customised or modified cars.

Check with your local road authority's website, they should have something there on modified cars and the requirements for registration.

I suggest making contact with an automotive engineer before commencing, let him know what you want to do and then proceed by consultation - that way do don't do a whole stack of work, at reasonable expense and then find out it wasn't done the right way.
