hijack, that was next on my list! theres a few things happening but im to lazy to post it all up .. lol!Originally posted by HitmanR32 View PostIve Done LED Globes for my Plate Lights It lookes awesome altho they dont spread light as nicely as a filament bulb!
Ive gone for a Super White type Lighting for my Car (my GTI i went blue lighting to match the Dials yada yada)
I did CCFL Lights in my Boot that are Super White better than the ****ty awful standard boot light (singular!!!)

I did away with my Puddle Lights completly (aka disconnected them) and made my own

they look the bizzo at night

They have to be Wide Angle LEDs so they spread light evenly
its a easy mod to do! and looks awesome..
neil: .. keep us posted dude! should look sweeeeeeeeeeeeet! What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

NSP guage landed on my desk today. Looks to be a very well made guage. Another thing to add to my list of things to do when I find time...Originally posted by WhubbsieThere is nothing better than a polo badge, thats why you will notice Veyron drivers with polo gti badges.... they know where the true sizzles at!

Been a bit quite but I have been a busy lad.
A small update - as a lot of you know I moved back up to Sydney because of my old mans deteriorating health. We'll the treatment has gone very well and he's pretty confident now that he can now put his 5th scratch up on the wall for his latest battle with cancer. All the signs are looking favourable for him which is great news.
Family crisis to the side now and on with the show!
In the last couple of weeks I installed my NSP boost gauge into the drivers side air vent. It looks ok but I'm not 100% happy with it. So - it's coming out of there and instead I'm going to replace all the vents with the ones from the Bora that light up and the flaps close flush. They should arrive within the next week. I'm still yet to decide where I'll put the boost gauge, as I’m not too keen on the column mounts. So I guess it’s probably going to be a pillar mount unless I have another brainstorm in the mean time. Can anyone recommend a good pillar mounted pod that's the same colour as the Mk4 interior? (Highly unlikely but worth the ask).
I've also discovered that I am the world worst spray painter but give me kudos for trying at least. I attempted to spray my crapy wood grain inserts silver but I had an EPIC FAIL!!!! They looked crap so I sanded them back and had another go. 2nd time around they look a bit better and will do until I can replace them with genuine R32 ones. For a $10 or $20 mod they are effective but ultimately it's not the finish I really want. I did use a matte clear coat cause I didn't want it overly shiny and if I were a half decent painter they probably would have turned out ok - but alas I'm the world least patient person and wanted them silver now. Painting and impatient do not belong in the same sentence.
I've also acquired some shiny neuspeed caps to cover my oil, brake fluid and water bottles and also forge polished strut top caps. They are so shiny that they make the rest of my engine bay looks rather....crap. I need to get cracking under the bonnet and do a good detail me thinks. I think I ran over it last year once at the DoVW with a bit of spit on a rag but clearly with my new toys that ain’t going to be enough. Time to hit it with the autosol and some elbow grease.
But the most important part will be item x that will be installed this weekend.
I've been having a tease for some time now but I will let you all in on what the fuss is about. Some of you may remember a certain member that was selling a set of R32 seats. Well I got them and they are going in this weekend which just quietly I'm a bit excited about.
Last but not least – the wheels. As you can now probably more appreciate I’ve had a few rather big expense with the above list. So – the LM’s are still looking as pretty as ever in my bed room for the moment. I pick up the front adapters on Monday and then I just need to fit some rubber to them a viola!
What’s next? As if I’m gonna tell you yet…
A picture is worth a thousand words - I love these seats!!!!
