Airbag warning reset

2002 bora 4mo North Ryde/Macquarie park Sydney

Friends daughter stuffed her toy under the seat, now my airbag warning comes on all the time. Have to get my pink slip. Can anyone help me reset it or will I have to go to the dealer? I can kick down some $$ for time spent.

Should have it checked!! if any wiring damaged it should be repaired. May not be as easy as erasing the fault.

At least do a visual yourself. Maybe the plug has come apart? Seek professional advice though if that's the case.

Plug was partially out and I clicked it back in.

Have scout round for someone with VCDS, there's a VAG COM who can help thread I started a while back. Lots of folk in Sydney have teh cable.

Is the red (oxidized) Bora 4 motion with four spoke wheels that often parks on Fontenoy road?

I park there also - I have VCDS - maybe a 10 minute after work fix?

Thanks mate. I'll look for the thread. I've got an eBay cable with Ross com software, but mates in the states said get someone that has a vagcom 1551 cable I think. I don't want to mess the airbag module up.

The ebay cable might not cut it. You wont mess anything up just trying to clear the code. It'll work or not.

1551 is the old VW tool.
