  • Shine Racing Real Street Spring Kit.. any other suggestions?

After much researching I *think* I know what springs and shocks i want to buy.

Shine Racing Real Street Spring Kit coupled with Bilstein HD's - A4 Shine Racing Real Street Spring Kit | Kerma TDI

They apparently have the best handling characteristics of a street/track spring. They are not very popular as it retains the stock ride height, which is considered uncool among the lowered community.

Firstly, before I go and buy a set does anyone know if someone already has a set and wants to sell them?

Secondly, does anyone else have any suggestions for uprated springs that retain the stock ride height?

I was using this discussion as a starting point - VWVortex.com - MkIV aftermarket springs at stock ride height LIST

    Thanks

these are really supposedly really good, these and an hoa version of a kw v1 are the some of the only performance kits that really retain stock ride height that i have found. i know a few peeps stateside who have used them and swear by them.

I thought the idea for lowering was to get the control arms level or JUST on the upside of level on the mk4s?
this then lead to better handling and stability...?
if this is the case (correct me if im wrong), a 30mm set or there abouts would be more ideal as the arms point up a fair bit from factory?

Please read through the linked posts from this thread http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...nds-82194.html
Shine Racing Services (no longer in business ) feature in it.

VERY briefly, SRS developed racing MkIII Golfs (whach have the same basic suspension layout as all Golfs prior to the MkV plus loads of other VAG cars) and after a lot of experimenting they ended up at stock height.........

BTW I have heard very mixed reports about Kerma TDI over at the TDI Club forum
