Yep coil, dont run it too long coz u are dumping the raw stuff into the cat mate.

If its a lead you can tell are any of them arking you can tell by sparks flying off the lead(s).

not sure on the 1.8T where the coil is located... but i dont think labour should be much, last time i checked how much coil pack's were, i think it was about $400-500

What i done on the VR6, is threw water on the coil pack... if its a cracked coil should make a cracking noise..

It'll be a coilpack - There is four of them located just ontop of the engine under the cover. I think the going rate is about $60~$80 each - If one needs replacing replace them all coz the rest will die soon after.

I think they revised the design so any you buy now won't ever fail.

could be the final stage output, the little thing attached to the back of your air box. if it is the coil you can test which 1 by swaping them b/n cylinders

all fixed... i moved the final stage output... no more wrx idle...
