Golf Headlight Lens

Hi guys,

Happy new year to all.

Last friday a rock smashed my head lamp lens, which turns out to be glass (the last owner must have replaced them with glass)

I can't find any online, everyone is sold out and can't get some for two weeks. Does anyone know where I can get some from? Its the left hand side.

here is the glass only;

I have one from my car, yours for $50 plus postage. The only thing is one of the mounting tabs on the top has snapped, light still fits fine and lines up perfectly and i even have the bit that broke off so you can plastic weld it back on. Let me know if your interested

Edit: Just noticed you have an R32, you could still use the lens though, as I assume an R32 oem replacement to not be cheap

Stan: ECS are getting some in on the 18th of Jan (still might be the best option)
Lito: Are you saying you have a glass one? or the one from a OEM acrylic lens? Just because I'd like to keep it uniform.

hmmm, I guess it would be the acrylic lens but I have both sides...

Just of interest how do you tell if there acrylic or glass? Because mine sure sound like glass when I tap them

Just by tapping it and it's usually a bit colder than a plastic lens if you have another car near by.

I just checked the HID kit on ECS and they look like glass, so I'm starting to think and worry all HID Lamps have glass lens'?

Only the r32's had glass AFAIK, All the rest is plastic. Someone must have upgraded yours as you can by glass lens.

well im 99% sure mine are glass. they could have been replaced too, the seal around the lens looks like its been re-done at some point. so if want i can send you the headlight and if the lense isn't glass just send it back, ill even cover the postage if you can't use the lense?

I'm relatively confident that the R32s don't run glass lenses either (as there've been a few getting around in motorsport events and if they had glass lenses, they'd be taping the lights up, and they haven't had to do this).
