Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Golf 2001 Cabriolet Engine Mount Question

I have 2.0L AGG engine which has an engine mount from the timing belt end of the block (RHD drivers side) to the body. it looks like a counter rotation mount.
The rubber has perished and needs replacing. What is this called? I cannot find any references to it?

    Thanks

    Hey,

Should just be called an engine mount.

    Volkswagen Golf IV 2.0 > Engine > Mount > ES#307441 Engine Mount - Right - 1J0199262BF

Couldn't find much on ETKA but that should be it.

Sorry I have been off line for a bit. Thanks for the offer but I am not sure they are the same os it is a mk3 cabrio chassis updated to look like a mk4
