    • Wow, I hate that when cats are on cars. I suppose you can't really grab them off because they dig their claws in straight away.

The car looks even better with the lowering mate, thanks again for letting me sit in it ages ago when we were at the start of the meeting pointon that drive from mt. tambo.

No worries mate. It got some attention today out at Wivenhoe dam. All the Mk3 VR6 drivers liked it very muchly I hope. Was a great turnout for VW VR6 power today, myself, sixie in his Bora V6 4Motion and at least 5 Mk3 VR6s.
Suffice to say there was glorious sounds resonating through the moutain/s.

        • Sounded freakin' awesome on the way home Trent, will have to go for a run in it next time. Trade the owed hug for the passengers seat?

You're just lucky it's an adult cat, I've got a 14 week old kitten......

Anyway I get home and the car is parked up for to cool. I forgot to close the garage door and look what happens.

Luckily she didn't get the claws out (only did this once when I startled her and that made me cry) but still the naughty little bitch!

                      • Well the negative camber from the lowering is quickly reducing the insides of my tyres to shreds. Expected this to happen but thought I would just see how it went anyway.

I did a bit of research and the .:R32 front end is actually adjustable for camber as well. The K-Frame is slotted and therefore can be adjusted. Apparently not many of your general wheel places know this and they just treat the car like any other and don't touch it.

Rear end however is not adjustable. I've bitten the bullet so even with the way the dollar is I've ordered some adjustable rear control arms from ECS tuning.

Will be getting these installed when I do everything else I've got lying around or am waiting to buy (mounts, tie bar, skid plate and haldex). By then I'll be up for new tyres and rego as well so it's going to be an expensive few months. At least Jimmy has now pointed all us Brisbaners/SEQers to a quality wheel/suspension guy who will look after us.

Next on the list, I will be getting the front bar resprayed next month. I'm sick of looking at that damn big mystery scratch and the stone chips and the scrapes along the bottom. Thanks to Al for the paint codes. Will post results once it's done.

The 105 000km (sigh) service will be due in July as well where I'll be looking to do all my fluids as well.

It's just money at the end of the day I guess and the smile from the R hasn't even begun to fade after 18 months of ownership.

                        Cheers,
                        Trent

I have the KW adjustable top mounts in the front for camber and toe and use Forge adjustable control arms in the top and bottom in the rear (toe and camber)

I have only just hit 40k on mine but as you know I maybe take it out once every week or two if I am lucky. Mine has had stone chips since I did the first tarmac rally, it's just par for the course I guess and I will get it resprayed some day.

                            Cheers Al

Yeah stone chips are always going to be something that happens and you can't avoid it. Just as you've seen with mine I've got that big nasty scratch on the passenger side of the bar which I wan't to get rid of.
