  • Treza360's .:R32

    Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd finally post on here. Been a member for a while but have only been lurking about the place, plus posting on the other VAG sites.
So here is my 2004 R32. As per my signature it's number 44. I picked it up at the beginning of September 2007 and am the second owner.
Car has been awesome so far, I've covered nearly 5000kms since I got it, all with glorious sound and ridiculous fuel economy.

I've got a decent list of things I want to do eventually as finances and free time allow (have not enough of either). These include:
    - Belkin TuneBase FM iPod tuner - Done
    - Bluevision parker lights (coming very soon due to blown bulb / http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1514265) - Done (Upgraded to LEDs)
    - Personalised Plates - Done
    - New better tyres (probably mid to second half of year once the rears are worn down enough) - Done
    - Engine Mounts - Done
    - CAI - Done
    - Get all four wheels repaired (previous owner managed to curb all of them) - Done
    - New suspension setup - Done
    - Thicker swaybars - Done
    - Audi S3 lower tie bar - Done
    - TST Rear Stress Brace - Done
    - Haldex Controller - Done
    - Short Shifter - Done
    - MkV rear Aero wiper - Done
    - Seat Cupra R front lip - Done
    - New wing mirrors - Blue Tinted Aspherical Mirror Glass Replacement - Done
    - Skidplate - Done
    - Get scratches and pin dents fixed - Done (Front Bumper Repaired And Resprayed)
    - ECU Upgrade - Done
    - Exhaust - Done
    - Headers??? (Maybe One Day Not Any Time Soon Though)
    - Cat??? (Maybe One Day Not Any Time Soon Though)
    - Cams??? (Maybe One Day Not Any Time Soon Though)
    - Forced induction setup??? (Maybe One Day Not Any Time Soon Though)

    Cheers
    Trent

      G'day & Welcome Trent.

      Alway's loved the Mk4 R32's, especially the blue one's & your's is exceptional.

Nice list of plan's you've got to go with it too.

I don't know why VW fit those euro number plate backing plate's. BMW also came out with them, but in the boot. Thank christ we threw them out.

Hope you enjoy it here, as VWW is getting bigger & better all the time.

              Thanks for the replies everyone.
The fog lights I'm talking about are from the Chinese MkIV Jetta. Love the MkV R32s though... mmm Shiny.
              See this thread: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3412544
I've updated my list with a few other things as well.
I'll pull the backing plate off when I get my personalised plates (*sing badly* coz i'm so vain).
              Cheers

hi mate, i love the car, the best R32 colour IMO.
I'd love to get those driving lights, but im not sure how well would they suit the MK4. I think they are more for the MK5 R32s

Heh no the car is stock as a rock. It's still a fantastic sound though. Tunnels are my friends. If I had a decent recorder I would make one. Unfortunately my phone and my camera are both dodgy.

I picked up the Phillips Bluevision parking lights today. Going in on the weekend hopefully, from the sounds of it, it's going to be a bit of an effort. I will post pics later.

                    Cheers,

Mate, if you want it to sound awesome, and i really mean awesome, just disable the flap yourself!! It will take you 10 min.
The thing is under the rear bumper next to the left wheel. There is a little hose going to the body of it. All i did was i disconnected the hose! Make sure you block the hose and the pump so dirt doesn't get in. I'll take a few photos if you want. The best thing about this is that if you dont like it you can put it back to stock!

                              Hey,
Yeah I've thought about doing that mod. I've also seen that you can just clamp the hose off and it will do the same thing. However I don't know if i can handle the noise all the time. It's nice to be able to just drop a gear or two (or three) and have that wonderful sound. (Did I really just say that? I must be the oldest 24 year old ever).
Oh yeah I also burnt my arm on my exhaust during the break showing a mate the exhaust hose. :p
                              Cheers,
