    hey balkanac

it appears only US SPEC CARS have the additional Radiator on the LHD equivalend of a Passenger Side

My Car is European Spec R32 and both grilles were blocked out

the cars with the aditional Radiators generally came with softer suspention also for Comfort US Market!

My Car bounces like about like a race car.. and its on standard susp. and no the shocks arent popped!

so if you guys have the Radiators you must have US Spec Cars.. i hope they didnt jew you out on the suspention!

The Us guys all have to change their suspention cos its so lousy!

    --------------------------------

    Trezza

    the car looks fab

im waiting for my Cupra Lip to arrive at the dealership

cut your grilles out it will look a squillion times meaner!

    also

dont use LEDS in your headlights

they just cease to function really quick due to the heat from the filament bulbs and xenon bulbs!

    -----------------------

    also

    got to Germanplates.com

and order some proper European Length Plates it makes the car look so much cleaner! they arent legal in NZ but the cops (generally) dont care as they comply with the visual specifications of genuine NZ Plates Embossed Black Letters on Retro Reflective White made out of Alloy!

    ---------------------------------

Have you done the flapper mod

    its fully worth it

altho i have got a milltek so mine is nice and raspy and poppy all the time!

I think my car has got Schrick Cams but im not so sure..

      Cheers for the comments Hitman.

Yep the flapper mod is done. Mmm noise...

In regards to the extra radiator, I don't have one on the passenger side, only on the drivers side. Power steering cooling? I'm pretty sure we got the euro Rs as well. Especially because I'd hate to think what VW call sports suspension if mine is the comfort (it's not actually that bad, but you definitely know when you hit a bump).

The blue vision bulbs are still filament so all is good. Is good to know that about the led lights though.

Over here in Qld we have the option of getting two types of euro style plates for our cars through PPQ. I'm still tossing up whether to go euro style, normal white on black personalised or go the full hog and get prestige.

      Cheers

thats so weird about the extra radiator..

        i have no idea!

i know the us spec ones are higher and have "obese yank tank driver suspention"

we dont have the radiators.. i wouldnt have a clue what they are for..

but seeing you do have one its unusual that its blanked off as the us ones with the radiator have that grill opend.. hmmmm

he he.. next mod for me is Carbon Fibre Brake Ducting cones fed from the air dams (when i can afford to get them made up!)

        ----------------------

        Get Euro Plating Man!!!

its a Euro Car it deserves the plates it was designed to wear

it will be the cheapest and most effective visual mod you ever make!

i opted for Plain Euro Length Plates for mine (no german or NZ stickers on it) i think it looks nice.. maybe im blind but who knows

Hmmm... I'll take a photo when I get home. It might be extra cooling for our hotter parts of the country maybe?

The little radiator is on the driver's side of the car, and on the left the grille is blocked because of the horns, i think. I took it off last night and there was nothing else. Here's whats there (sorry for the crappy phone pic)

Nah Man she isnt blocked cos of the horns..

its blocked because they thought they had no need for it.. and its (for some unbeknown reason) cheaper to make the grils with the plastic holes blanked off..

Thought I'd post up the pictures of my grills.

Weird radiator thing in drivers side grill.

Passenger, hopefully be filled full of CAI pod filter soon.

Bloody hell. That's insane. If I only I had that type of money. Oh well it's not like I'm upset with the car I do have.

My question is who did you use (I'm in Adelaide though) and did they paint using a paint code or just match to existing silver?
                        Hey mate,
It would have wanted to be a good job for the price I paid.
I actually I have no idea who did the actual repair. Because I have a friend of a friend at a local Bob Jane I organised with them to have the guy they use to fix up the wheels before they put the new tyres on.
Basically he's a guy in a van who comes around and does them on site.
In regards to spraying, it looks as if it has been matched to colour, as there are other parts of the rim which haven't been sprayed, however I can't tell the difference between them.
Your best bet would be to try your local tyre fitters and see who they recommend. If a common name starts to come up then they're probably the way to go.
Sorry I can't help you out more than that.
                        Cheers

The Aus spec cars have the US spec suspension, i.e. the woeful Monroe shocks.

With the mileage on your car they would be completely shot. I'd strongly recommend replacing them with something like Koni FSDs. You will notice a massive difference in handling. See Ian and Rennenhaus for the FSDs.

I ditched my stock suspension after 10,000kms as I couldn't deal with the ghosting in the back any longer!

Bugger hey. Oh well. I know the rear shocks were replaced on the last service just before I picked it up.
A nice new shiny suspension is on my never ending list of things to do. I'll probably do front and rear swaybars, strut brace and now shocks then all in one hit. Was planning on Neuspeed swaybars and brace so Rennenhaus will be perfect for the shocks too.
Now just need more money. :p

So dyno results are in. Can't say I'm overjoyed with them. From a quoted 177kW at the flywheel, I ended up with 122.1kW at all four wheels. So yeah that's a 31% loss through the Haldex system.

Some people seemed to be a bit down on what they were expected/ran before while others were very pleasantly surprised. So it's hard to tell exactly what to make of the results.
It will be interesting to see when I make a few mods what the results will be.

I reckon there not bad numbers for a stock R32 measured in 4th gear.

That's about right to loose 30+% through all four wheel's.

Also depends on the measured inlet temp's too! These can alway's fudge the corrected figures.

                                What were you expecting?
