Update, 14 hours of work later, sub and amp are mounted but not wired, wires are in but not connected. woohoo.

Amp is mounted to a sheet of metal on top of the parcel shelf.

Better pics when its not 42 degrees.

Did similar, but two she sections rather then a flat plate.
I couldn't get the amp to sit flat so had to lift it slightly...
Also helped with keeping it cool

          Sam, good luck!

I thought mine might not be flat either, but it worked fine.
I was iffy about mounting mine upside down for cooling reasons too, but the whole outside is a heatsink on this model so it should all be sweet.

                Updating...
So I was happy with my 771s, then I saw the BBS SX pop up on ebay.
Some 225/40R18 tyres later and I came up with this:

I am so so so happy with the fitment at the front (sorry the wheel is on an angle)

Then some lovely chap decided my door needed some dents and proceeded to ram his trolley into it. I found a replacement door and (eventually, thanks electric windows) swapped them over.

And finally thanks to some mean advertising, I plasti dipped my tail lights.
                Before.

                After.

So my plans for the near future are a really thorough and well deserved wash, and a spring + shock set (if nobody convinces me to get coils.)
Thanks for looking everyone, and i appreciate any feedback!

Seriously, 110% get coils or you will regret it.

Those wheels would look properly good if you get the tyres up in the guards.

                    coils = adjustable height
no arguing with that, you can be low, or really low

Every one on here trying to save some $$$ got springs first then went, hmmm this could be better, 6 months later, coils.

and to summarise, needs moarrr lowsss

                          This.
plus any decent spring drop will require new shocks. new shocks and springs (cup kit) often end up more expensive then coils anyway

Thanks for the advice, my problem was that I could still get about 50mm lower with new springs and shocks, while maintaining a nicer ride that coilovers than cost twice as much.
Are there any models of coilovers that are still pretty comfortable?
I'm not going to pretend my 2.0 is ever going to need track worthy suspensions haha.

Well, coilovers arn't really designed at all for comfort, and they seem to have two extremes,
El Cheapo coils allows massive drops, at the cost of no comfort.
Expensive coils have infinite adjustments, decent range of height adjustment, and can be tuned to be somewhat comfy, but still harsh as expensive generally designed for racing.
Then I've found with mid range coils from mates rides, it that they are somewhat comfortable if you let them ride soft, with a pretty decent range of heights, mine have about 20% drop left but I'm already scrapping all over the joint haha sorry front valence

It's just, springs and shocks are fixed, if they settle and your not happy with new height, tough luck. If they feel a bit sloppy, tough luck. And any system that is dumped on it's guts is rough, even shocks and springs, to get lows, you need a small, firm spring to allow the car to sit low, but not move much over any road varience or you'll drop out and do some decent damage, so either way you'll never know the comfort of stock suspension ever again
I just find coils allow for so much more adjustment, and after a couple of weeks you forget what it used to feel like driving a car that was designed for comfort, and you enjoy the fact your car handles so much better.

                                Just food for thought.

Either was, lows will be a great upgrade for the car, rims will looks so good with a little tuck
Goodluck with your tuning, keep us posted.
