Does anyone know what are the best pads to use to upgrade my brakes?
The rotors are still good, so for the time being I'm thinking of changing just the pads and when the rotors wear out I'll replace them with slotted or cross-drilled.

What is your objective, street use or track racing

There is nothing wrong with OEM pad if only for street use except it is abit dusty. The best alternative is EBC black (that's what I use )

EBC green are great too, low dust and bitey.
Are you sure your rotors are still good ? Mine were cactus by 85K, the OEM pads still had a fair bit to go.
I went slotted rotors, I thought the drilled ones were just a bit too wank for me as they add buggerall performace for street use.

Rotors are still good, have on done 44k. The green pads sound good enough for street use. EBC also have yellow and red pads. Yellow seem good as well.
I used to have slotted rotors on my previous car. They were awesome so I will uprade the rotors at about 60k.

Seems it goes Black, Green, Red, Yellow, Blue. In order of braking performace and rotor killing ability.

Black = 50% less rotor ware, braking same as OEM, V low dust
Green = Premium street. Non sticky dust
Red = Kevlar. Heavy car or 200bhp +, V low dust
Yellow = Full race pad, ok for street
                Blue = Long lasting enduro

                Or just compare yourself.

So Black or Green, Red it just too much.
But black looks like it will give about the same as OEM, so just the dust benefit.

What are they like in prices ? I like the Yellow's

My Standard brakes are pretty good, Just got back from a day up through the two spurs and only right at the end did they fade. (Though I have performance fluid)

Something I like about the braking system of my car, is that for whatever reason when you are hammering, the pedal becomes really hard ? Maybe EBD or something, sort like a pre-tensioner on a seatbelt almost as if it is expecting you to jam on the brakes. Pretty cool.

long life ones tend to be metallic, thus tend to also chew the rotors.

Most recommended pads are Bendix. They're now recognised by all manufacturers for their high quality, thus you can replace stock ones with them and still maintain factory warrenty. - and the new titanium strip ones don't need to be bedded in.
