  • Ignition Switch?

Just jumped into my golf this morning on the way to an exam and they key was very "loose" in the last part of the turn. None of my dash lights came on but the stereo and head lights still worked. So i tested the battery and that was fine. so i'm guessing it would have to be the ignition switch??? Any ideas?

Could be broken ignition swith or the lock itself. Either way you are gonna need tools and knowledge to dismantle the steerin column, thats a hard one to fix at home. Maybe put it on a truck..

Agreed here, your radio and stuff works because the S contact of the switch is still making contact as you put the key in, but as you turn it all goes pear, could be either or both mate, the ignition housing internal do break.
