Driveshaft rubbing against swaybar
Exceptionally common... Get a sway bar that's made for a lowered golf or raise the car.
It's not too bad to drive on. Unless of course it's rubbing all the time.Platinum Grey mkV Jetta turbo, Viezu motorsport map, GT-CX 18", lowering to come

or rather than change the whole sway bar, get longer drop links:
use these:
to replace these:
search vw adjustable drop links on ebay, or ecs tuning have them

Do you plan on staying that height or going lower?
If that height delete sway bar or get a new one, don't bother with end links.
Lower, delete it completely, you won't notice it missing.

Cut that sucker out if your thinking about going any lower, mucking around with drop links will most likely get you nowhere. There is such thing as a swaybar that goes under your driveshaft, called a hotchkis. Never really looked into them but from reading on vwvortex they can be a solution. Cutting your swaybar does sound absolutely dodgy. I was pretty hesitant when doing it but afterwards i noticed minimal difference. But really if your riding that low your probably not going to be taking hairpin corners at breakneck speed
Anyways! Welcome to the never ending world of problems from slamming your mk4!!! Next will be axle bind, frame notch, smashing oil pans and ripping out dog bone mounts! haha but walking out to see your mk4 sitting nicely on the ground will make you forget about all that stuff.

Re: Driveshaft rubbing against swaybar
Out of interest I'm getting a similar rub pattern on my drive shafts, and when I turn hard left I get a very loud squealing noise, but only turning left should I be worried? The daily
