My car hasn't really been used for the last couple of months, turning on the engine once n awhile to keep it going. This morning the car is dead, doesn't even turn on. Possible problems?

Flat battery?
What do you mean by not turning on??????????? Does the starter motor turn the engine? Do you get lights on the dash? Give us a bit more to work with.

Flat battery, you could jump start it but don't just connect the leads and crank it. Connect them and leave the donor car idling for ten minutes.Originally posted by florantonio View PostNo lights on the dash or anything, dead.
Otherwise take the battery out and charge it.
Worst case, you'll need a new battery.

as Gavin said. batteries left to go completely flat can somewhat die. allow some charge to transfer.

iv let it get that low that nothing responds (lights, starter motor etc), new battery or a good jump start and let it run for a extended time.Comment

Standard lead-acid batteries dislike deep discharges. Probably time for a new one.Nothing to see here...Comment
