Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

The cat is in the downpipe, so I'd buy a DP with one for obvious reasons. Lots of "test pipes" on ebay with the associated risk of getting caught. A high flow cat isn't that restrictive.

what Gav said mate. The hp increase is negligible and the fine is massive.

Don't think you'll do much better than this.

You could try Greg, for a price on 42DD.

Personally I am not convinced that the new 710 would outlast an ebay alloy dv. Just saying.

You may also need a bung for the 2nd Lambda probe port.
Early models have only 1 sensor, newer have 2.

Thanks Gav but Tim wins over 42DD me thinks, their mild steel value line with Cat is $515 delivered, and that's the cheapest option I have for MKIV.
