Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Wheel nut adaptor

I have a 2000 Bora 2.0. Is there anyway of changing the pcd from 5x100 to 5x114(chanding the rotors to the Jetta 5)? I found a nice set of wheels 19 inch but they are from a Honda. Other option : Anyone selling a good looking 19 inch set of rims for the Bora? I have been looking for weeks.

        jetta is 5x112.
just run adapters, dont get new hubs
dont think the mkiv hubs can handle 5x114.3 redrilling anyway.

my BBS LM are gone, were for sale for months. were perfect on a 2lt bora

Problem with adaptors is they are about 25.5mm thick and that will leave the rim sitting too far out? Guess I will have to keep on looking.

Anything that would look good on a Bora. No deep dish rims and maybe a offset that would just sit on the fender. Anyone please help.

If you were to get adapters you need to take into account the thickness as you will need a higher offset then without it
