  • Coilovers

So i'm getting my tax back and decided I'm gonna put them into coilovers. I'm only looking at entry level stuff and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? I had a look at ecs and thought the st coil overs were pretty reasonable and read some good reviews on them but I'm waiting to hear back from them to see if they make them for the 4motion.

I'd go KW V2 .. the Damper Adjustment can help for when you get an aggressive wheel fitment and handling

    Volkswagen Golf MK3 1997 CL 1.8L

finally got around to looking at the kw's..... bit out of my price range.. would love them though. Got any suggestions where to look for some for the 4motion seeing that ecs don't stock stuff for the 4-motion.

heads up with the KWs, they dont go very low in the back of the mk4 4mo setups... but seems that way with a lot of they options out there

yeah had a look through dpm performance at some options and noticed that many don't have a big drop except for FK's.. considering getting them due to price, i've read good and bad reviews which is giving me 2nd thoughts and just saving for something better

Chop your springs bro for moar lows!

Normally the cheaper coilovers drop lower. In my opinion coilovers will either ride harsh, or harsher. Just go cheapo if its for looks, although the beautiful overall concept of the V6 4motion is sorta ruined.

mainly is for looks so chopped springs may be the answer! in what way do you mean the 4motion is ruined?

                    hahahaha, too good!

its just due to the short spring set up from factory.
trickysimon with the white 4mo has the same brand coils as me (he has a 4mo, I have FWD) must be about the same height and he is stuck with next to no room to go lower, where as I have another 1-1.5" in the back to go down.
