  • GTi vs 1.6 Springs question..

Hi guys, just wondering if there is any difference with GTi springs and those from a 1.6L ? Height? spring rate? interchangeable?

    Thanks in advance!

will be a direct swap, 15mm lower like above I believe.
might be worth getting hands on gti struts too, id imagine they would be a upgrade too

Gti springs are lower and firmer, as the engine is heavier

No different from a standard spring change, enjoy

The GTI springs are firmer due to the heavier donk, and lower for styling.

They are "no different" in the sense that the install is the same as every other car.
                MK4 GTI - Sold
                MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold

Thanks for asking this question! I am about to do the same thing and was unsure about fitment. Ill be buying KW v1's for my GTI most likely, or H&R cup kit
