I recommend Paul at Euroworks 95603326, his pretty fussy and I recommend anyone buy a car to get him to go over it...he spends a great deal of time inspecting every aspect of the carOriginally posted by Golf-Sam View Postyeah the silver one does seem to have been on the market for some time .. i'll see if i can get the seller to do a RWC .. just to make sure she's is top shape mechanically .. do we know any good VW mechanics that would be able to inspect a car down in Melbourne's way ?

Same here, while mine isnt the most original in the world it does everything I need and gives me something to play with, and at $8k it is straight and clean with potential to turn into a nice sleeper or something that screams to the police "follow me"Originally posted by curtis715 View PostDylans right that the red 03 looks suspect. Both it and the silver one were for sale when i bought mine which was over 6 months ago.
I prefer something in between, a nice clean exterior with a bit of poke added underneath the skin to keep the Holden Ute boys around here honest
Dub Toffee sold me a nice base to start from
2001 Bora 4Motion A work in Progress
Next up, Big Brake Kit from ECS, Cold Air Intake, Coilovers.

that is exactly what I'm going for .. not too low .. nice wheel .. decent coilovers .. exhaust , intake .. then finally HGP turbo kit in a year or two ..Originally posted by GarryO View PostSame here, while mine isnt the most original in the world it does everything I need and gives me something to play with, and at $8k it is straight and clean with potential to turn into a nice sleeper or something that screams to the police "follow me"

My Oettinger rims are from that red Bora. I bought them off the guy 9 or 10 months ago and his car had been for sale for a few months at least already at that point.
It is a super clean car, really so much better than it looks in the photos. If I remember correctly he told me he had big plans for it including a Bora R front bumper (the rear bumper is a Bora R rep) and all sorts of mods but then he got a motorbike of some sort and got a bit diverted from the Bora. His opinion is that he has one of the nicest Boras around and he isn't planning to take any less than $13,500 for it so it sits undriven until he sells it.
It's a really nice Bora but I think he'll be waiting another 10 years for 4motion Boras to be recognised as a modern classic before he gets more than $11,000 for it.
