    hey
    does anyone know between what month and year the mk 4's were sold in australia and why can't i find any 2 door models here???...

      Only r32 were sold in Australia, I'm pretty sure they were sold in 98-04.
      I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

        mainly refering to all mk4 model sale dates...cause i didn't think the 2 doors were sold at all in aus?

            Apart from the R32, we didn't get the 2 door MK4. I bought my MK4 GTI new in early August 2004 and about a week later they had the MK5 Golfs for sale in the show room (the GTI model took about another 12+ months), so I would say/guess August to be pretty much the last month.

              A handful (<10?) of 2 door NON R32 mk4's landed in Australia. They were low spec 2.0's and some didn't even have A/C.

              I sat in one at a Canberra VW dealership.

                That's right! I remember the sales guy telling me that too, if I recall I think he mentioned they were landed here by mistake?
