  • ecs sent me the wrong part.. (please help identify!)

Hey fellas, my ecs order rocked up today.
on order were 2 audi tt front caliper carriers to fit 312mm discs Volkswagen Golf IV 1.8T > Braking > Big Brake OEM > ES#308165 Front Caliper Carrier - Priced Each - 1J0615125A

problem is this is what the package had in it:

can anyone tell me what the right carrier is for?! also only got one set of slide pins.. cant believe how much they've stuffed this order up...

    cheers

ECS packets usually have a sticker on them with the product code, have a look and search their site.

Personally I'd be on the email to ECS letting them know the problem, from what I've seen they are pretty good at rectifying the problem. I remember someone getting the wrong exhaust, that worked out well for the guy.

I'll send them one ASAP. The part numbers are the same so there's no reason that I should've got different parts. That's the silly thing..

I think they are the same functional part, but different designs to achieve the same thing - so look different. Make sense?

I have ordered brakes from other places and have had a similar experience where two calipers are slightly different to each other but perform the same.

Yeh but I ordered two of the oem Audi tt carriers (unless they're different on each side which I highly doubt). That include the guide/slide pins and one is physically bigger and the holes are further apart?
We shall soon see, I've sent an email.

Keen to hear the outcome as I order off ECS frequently, but so far so good.

holes don't seem to line up the same. I've never seen significantly different calipers/holders before.
