Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Was wondering if anyone has used the ECS control arm bushes?
They look reasonable quality but not sure how they compare the say nolathane bushes?
Figured if i ordered from their i could get a few other things to

I ran a full set of ECS bushes in my A3 years ago. A fantastic improvement on worn out standard stuff. I found them to be pretty squeaky in daily use, with standard suspension. Possibly not so bad with lowered suspension due to the smaller range of motion?

Personally, I'd get the R32/TT/S3 bushes instead, not really a compromise in my opinion and last really well. I think they were about $20 each. $80 for a pair from Audi here 5 years ago. The part number starts 8N0.

For the money, you could get some R32 bushes and a poly kit. If you don't like the poly stuff fit the R32 ones.

Get the dog bone bushes too. Or have a look at dubaddiction, Tim is a forum sponsor and I reckon his prices are pretty good.

Hey Big_Tedman, I would be interested in finding out about the bushes. I need to do mine, Mk4 GTI 2002, and I have had a few Subi's Myself.

Fairly sure they use Energy Suspension for the ecs poly kit.
