  • Here's my Before and After pics... just finished my Boser...

    Hey Guys,

We've been working on the Bora!

    It's been a great Father/Son project.

My Son took some cool pics today of the finished Boser bonnet, and I included some original ones that were on the Carsales site when we bought it.

It's probably not for everyone, but we like it as it is.

Like the Wheels OzChris? Thanks Mate!

Dylan, it has a slight reverse rake as you will see, and I got some lowering spring tops to drop it the extra 10mm but after putting on my Diesel Geek sump guard I only have 95mm of clearance. How much do you have? The car is my main family car, so it still has to be practical and not something that makes my wife panic when she drives it...

That looks pretty clean. Id check out some smoked/clear silver/grey tails. Im pretty sure Tim (Silver Dub) had some on his Bora.

doesnt look too bad in the pics. sills look pretty level.
i dunno about my sump, i have a 2lt so it sits higher then everything else. the volkwerke boys couldnt get the LED torch under the subframe tho. its on 19s with oem (and bigger then oem on the rear) tyres atm, so will be lower once i go back to 17s and smaller tyres shortly.
We drove around sydney with 4 people in the car and didnt bottom out on anything from memory. but then again my gf, mates, and I that drive it know how to drive lowered cars on a daily basis

May not have bottomed out, but I'm pretty sure the whole of Sydney could smell your tyres melting away as they rubbbed through your guards

              Nice pics!!!! Awesome look...

The Best thing you have done is remove the rear spoiler. IMO its called a spoiler for a reason!!!! They never looked good on a Bora.

Thanks, my son (15) will be rapt... he keeps coming checking to see if anyone's seen or commented on the car pics.
We've worked on it together and he eyeing it off as his first car...
I'll move on to a Scirocco R (once I learn how to spell it!)
                He loooves the car.
I think he'll be a long time dubber...

Not a huge fan of the rear tail lights, but everything else = win

I like the boot shave. People that dont know what it is will really be scratching their heads now.

                          Thanks,
That is a fun part of the car...
There aren't that many cars that the shape isn't obvious...
We like seeing people walk around the car looking for the brand... the big VW on the Steering wheel gives it away....
