    Hey guys,

Wat do you reckon??? Some advantages, disadvantages???

    advantages:
weigh next to nothing if you get a good quality one.

    disadvantages:
looks silly if left unpainted on a euro car IMHO
    usually not complian with ADRs

at the end of the day the performance gain is about the same if u pulled out your spare wheel and replaced it with a can of goo

      Hmmm

Im just tossing up whether its cheaper to just buy a CF boser hood then painting as opposed to welding the boser piece to my existing hood...its not for performance..but looks..

Hi mate, I can't comment on the Carbon Fibre hood, cause I don't know the first thing about them, but if you want to change the look a bit for a reasonable outlay, just having the stock front/rear valences colour coded can make a big difference and will make your car look a tad lower as well.

Or maybe even redirecting those funds toward a body kit down the track, it's just that I think you will get a better looking result for your money than the hood will give.

I think Tim has made a couple of very good points to consider and I'm also just throwing some ideas at you, the beauty of this is it's your car and don't let others tell you what you should or shouldn't have done or what you could have bought instead with the money you spend.

        Cheers,

        Snowy.

          Thanks snowy,

Well the plan was to colour code the valences, there doubt there. But i've always wanted a boser bonnet and i can find a cf boser bonnet on the net in the US. Its actually not too bad and im trying to weight up if its actually cheaper to put on a cf bonnet with the boser and painted than welding the boser bit to my existing bonnet.

I dont think i'll get a body kit...like you said just painting the valences it looks pretty good.

I know Ian (Dub_boi_oi_oi) who's getting the Neuspeed Intercooler pipes for us had a CF bonnet on his R32 at the Autofest and I'm not sure but he may be able to help you source one.

            Cheers,

            Snowy.

Not a bad idea - If you want to switch back to stock you have your unmodified bonnet available.

Also - CF bonnet should weigh alot less than the standard.. Thats alot less weight at the front of the car which will improve handling (a touch)

i'm thinking it'd be slightly cheaper to go the painted extension path on your existing bonnet though to spend that lil bit more for the painted cf boser would be ace! but leave the underneith unpainted
