Two Quotes, Wadda you think?

Hey all,

Got a couple of quotes today on an exhaust and a set of coilovers. Well i kinda put a deposit on the coilovers. They are a set of K-Sport fully adjustable coilovers for my bora. Got quoted $2100. Is this a good price fully installed?

Also got a quote for a custom exhaust resonator back, full stainless mandrel bent. 2.5" to the rear muffler. Custom polished stainless muffler and twin stainless tips for $750

What are your opinions?

Exhaust wise, is it resonator back... or cat back? bit of a difference.

750 for a stainless, mandrel bent exhaust system with two mufflers seems good. ???

At least when you compare to other exhausts which cost about 1100 for a cat back.

Yeah its resonator back. The guy reckons the reason its so pricey is cause of the custom rear muffler. It'll look similar to stock but only run left to right inside the muffler once.

For coilovers go for KW V2s...im sure alot of people here will agree...im running them on my gti...and as for the exhaust, im pretty sure seb can arrange a custom one...

Don't bother with K-sport rubbish - If you're going to do it, do it right!

Either KW V2s or Blistein/H&R/decent brand.

And exhaust - Why resonator back? Atleast go for a catback! You're basically just replacing the rear muffler with that exhaust !

Dude for that money get KW's. I have some and ill never have a car that didnt have KW's again...

Ive read a few forums of guys who have put the k-sports in their cars and they highly recommend them. And as for the exhaust, my car already comes standard with a stainless 2.5" cat to resonator so there isn't really that much point. The exhaust place agreed with me (surprisingly). Any other recommended exhaust shops on the northern beaches (SYD)?

Are you after height adjustment only or rebound aswell? $1900 for V1's. $2300 for V2's and $2000 for Last Edition V2's. Get the Last Editions!

Awesome. The first few days they are really stiff. But they settle in and are awesome. The Last Edition V2's are the same as the inox line V2's but are in a galvanised steel body whereas the inox V2 are stainless steel. We dont need stainless steel here because we dont have the corrosion issues that Europe does!!

Surely those k sport are better than your Supersport coilover option in your earlier post.

Not trying to sell you any coilover here, but those Kws are only 200 bucks difference. Put it this way suspension you may not eva going to change again. 200 bucks is only like 3 tanks of petrol thats 3 weeks probably... Ordering them will probably take a month to get here..so why not just save up/ prospone for a few more weeks in stead.

thats even more logical... If those K Whatever Sport coils takes a month to arrive, just wait for month and you can get proper KW or you want to corner at a Higer Rpm go H&R .
