  • My new Mk4 - show off thread :)

It was in such a good nick I could not pass it.

Is there something you can do to these to make them a tad quicker off the line ? My wife complained it is too slow..

    Cheers

If you in Melbourne wich I'm guessing you are - I'll take you for a spin in the GTI. That's how to get it to go quicker

Oh goodie - I'm excited for you! When I got mine done it was like a new car!!!! You'll love it!

Congrats again on the new purchase.

As for the mk4 you could modify the airbox with something like a bmc pannel. I'm not sure it would be worth chipping as it's a n/a engine.

Edit: Just saw the A3 - it's hot!!!! You should try and get along to our next vic photo shoot before DoVW. Check out the meets section here

With modsmaybe a exhaust or deleting the middle muffler with a CAI will give it abit more responce, should be good

The VW 1.6L I suppose in my red one... NOT the one in the Audi, we all know they are quicker than GTI's

Don't bother modding it then. You won't get much out of it, and the gearbox is weak. Just enjoy it for what it is.

Welcome and congratulations on finding that neat Mk4.
I thoroughly enjoyed my red Mk4 even though it was only 1.6 litres.
Suspension was high on my list of mods and it made all the difference to the feel of the thing.
