  • Floor mats - where from?

    Hi all,

I am new to this board, as I just bought my wife a Mk4 golf.

I need to buy her a set of floor mats, I want the factory type that click into place in front so they don't slide all over as you drive and get in an out of the car ; apart from ebay where would you get them for a reasonable price nowadays ?

The ones on Ebay seem to have a different locking type as they are from UK, I want them to stay put

    Many thanks

        Hi Torque, welcome to vwwa!
I recently bought some nice R32 mats from www.tmtuning.com. They were a little bit exxy, and I am STILL waiting for them (ordered on 21st September!) but they are scheduled for delivery this week, so fingers crossed.
Aside from that, I would suggest eBay or via a dealer (but be prepared to pay a fortune!)

You can get them from any autobarn store, just the front will set you back ~$70 and the front and rear will be ~$100.

If you are near moorabbin, let me know and i can organise it for you at a discounted price.

            Thanks a lot

Yep, sure did! Mat's rocked up about 2 weeks ago, and the brushed alloy pieces, r series pedals and gear knob rocked up about a week later.
The mats are definately OEM, and were shipped not from TM Tuning by from VW directly. They came in a VAG box and the sender address was VW.

That might explain why they took so long?

tm tuning uses budget shipping service as standard. So it can take 1 - 2 months to get your goods if you go that option. It is usually a lot cheaper than the 3-5 day ups/fedex style shipping though.

Yeah, but those were sent air plus which was supposed to take 7-10 days.
The mats took 6 weeks! Having said that, they were definately worth it.
Very nice quality, except a rubber foot pad would be nice.
