Yeah, it does exactly what it says it will do. I heard that the code was taken from the memory of a certain jap golf model. Maybe it was taken from Audi. Either way it works. Only complaint is that if the signal gets interupted the window stops. e.g. If you're a bit far away or let off the button momentarily.

I bought mine from ebay, the exact same thing. Looks like maybe there's a slightly updated version now too (not sure what the difference is):
Car Auto Window Closer Remote Controller OBD For VW SKODA Octavia/Superb/Fabia | eBay

The ebay one is half the price of the ECS one you will notice.

Also, can you lift your windows using the key in the outside driver's lock if you turn it further past the lock position?

I dunno but it looks really cool. Maybe just ask to make sure it will work with the Australian models?

          Then share it around!!

I'm sure plenty of people have done this here so no problems.. BUT...

..If you have the 1C0 comfort control model do what I did and buy an el cheapo VagCom/VCDS cable off eBay for $12 which you'll use in future anyway for diagnostics and other things and use this FREE program:

Can't this be enabled with VCDS? Seems a lot of coin to pay for a one-off flash module, when you could have a few beers with a fellow dubber (who has VCDS/Cable), while enabling a few other cool features ...

You can't do it with the VCDS program but you can do it in the EEPROM. Ross-Tech don't wanna enable editing of the EEPROM as people could easily screw up their cars. There's a lot of screwing around if you wanna do it that way.

You can do it using a VAG-Tacho cable but I recently discovered some Czech dude made a one click program you can use with a VCDS cable.

I took the risk of using the program which isn't in English and it worked!

It only cost me $0 as I already had a $12 VagCom cable. I wouldn't waste $60 on this as it is the exact same code, except you can only use it once.

i agree, im new to the whole car thing so unless anyone is confident in their ability to do something like kapowww was talking about for me, with a 6 pack or something of course, then id rather just pay for the easy application.

I should note that if you plug it in again it deactivates the function. The module then becomes useless as it has been coded to work once only.

Otherwise I suppose groups like us would just do everyone's car in one go

One of the first mods I did too. Agree with the comment about it not always working properly if the signal gets interrupted & the windows stop half way down etc. Great otherwise
