I would have bought the Gruven Parts control arms if they weren't so pricey - good idea, but I've already got mine sorted...sigpicBora V6 4Mo 2003 http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...ser-72675.html

Just bumping this thread to get an idea of a good place in Melbourne to get the alignment done for my 4mo.. Recommendations? (I'm on the Westside).
EDIT: Don't worry I just called the VW dealer and they said they send all their alignments to Bridgestone in Hoppers Crossing. I spoke to the dude there and he used to own an Amorok and seems to know a lot..Last edited by kapowww; 09-10-2012, 01:35 PM.

I have a set of readings for an "ideal" R32 alignment which should suit a Bora V6 4Motion if you're interested (initially supplied by quozl, I've used them as my guidelines for aligning the Bora since I bought it).Nothing to see here...

They won't be able to change much, and it's not like you are going to get tyre anyway running close to 3 degrees camber.
Either shell out for some adjustable or man up and pay for tyres more often than other people. The price you pay for running dope wheels.
(FYI I went the girly option and got rid of my camber with gruvenbars haha)

Well I've been seriously considering only getting the fronts aligned if the rear doesn't do much. I'm thinking to save up for adjustable arms then get the rears aligned.. I know tyres will get chewed up faster but the car won't get driven too much anymore coz my wife's gonna stop working next month.

I used these when my car was lowered and camber couldn't be adjusted enough.
Find SuperPro Parts for My Vehicle
They worked great and my wheel alignment guy had no problem even though he'd never fitted them before.
Once their locked in they stay put until you want to change the camber, about $130 I think they were.

Try TruTrack. It will be 3x-4x that price but at least they will know what they are doingcarandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic
I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums

I desperately need to get my fronts done. One of the bolts in my ball joint mount was stripped, so it slipped. Got a new mount and bolts in now, but the car is a fair bit lower now.
Would like to get some adjustable rear arms, but we'll see. I just want the fronts done to start with. Will let you know what the guy says.

I'm honestly not bothered, I'm really just wondering why others don't use them, that's all.
They are distributed in Brisbane by Fulcrum Suspension, and they said they've never had a set returned.
Superpro make them in batches of about 100 sets - I know because I ordered some and they said they'd be making some more next month or something...
Anyway, they worked well to adjust my rear camber after lowering 30mm.
Cheers,
