1.6 golf EGR valve...

Hi

Got a problem.. Had car scanned as had a few problems which I'm fixing (it's great working at autobarn lol) anyway.. One problem was faulty EGR valve.

Now ive had a look and the aluminum tubing that comes off it and runs around the back of the motor seems to be cut and bent so it's blocked off.. Doesn't go anywhere...

Where is the tube supposed to go? Why would it have been blocked off?
