Hey guys,
So I finally finished installing the FMIC over the weekend. Haven't had a chance to really test out the performance benefits, but to say I'm disappointed with the fitment would be an understatement. I guess that's what I get for just trusting that it would fit the car ok - lesson learned.
Basically, the piping on from either side of the cooler sits a lot lower than anything else I've seen either here or on Vortex, including in the DIY I followed. At the moment, my bumper minus the valance is on, but the fitment is terrible and I have pipes and the bottom of the cooler sticking on the bottom which is completely the opposite of what I wanted. The bottom of the bumper is actually sitting up on the piping on either side of the cooler
So I'm wondering if anyone can give me an idea of whether an R32 bumper will give me more room around the front of the car, and therefore hide the FMIC and pipes. I've looked around online, found a few places in the US and one in Aus that sells them but no where gives me measurements so I can actually work out whether it will solve my problem or not.
Worst comes to worst I'll look at getting the piping modified or remade, but I've spent a bit of cash getting it all to fit as it is so I'm just trying to work out what my options really are.
Cheers,
Alex
