Help with wheel fitment/offset/width

Hi fellas, i've been searhing on vortex/ukmkiv/here and i'm still unsure if the wheels i want will fit.

long story short, i got some enkei rs05 (which are simply awesome) but the seller didnt check the offset, which he said was 35 but infact is 45 - which just wont work. (was going to run some ECS 15mm soacers but legality issues with that scare me a bit!

SO i'm returning them regretfully and picking up some 19" lm reps that are custom drilled to suit.

they're 8.5" wide and i can get offsets from +20 - +45.
Im thinking of getting et30 all round or getting et30 front and et25 rear.
been searching for pictures all over; i really want poke but i really dont want any rubbing/hitting of the coilovers (which are KW v1. lowered about 40mm.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue? last thing i want is fitment issues..

i cant speak for the K1s and how there height adjustment is after seeing one of the 4motion boras on here not complaining about it not going very low...
I run 8.5et30f and 8.5et25r with a 215/40 all round with a ~50-60mm drop on standard 2lt. iv got a extra deg of camber in the back which gives me 2-3mm more room up top. front is pretty much bang on, rear passenger sits inside 1-2mm and drivers rear pokes 1mm (due to my off centre rear beam) so if your a little higher at 40mm or so, ull be the same or like 1-2mm more outwards all round.

FRONT: clearance wise on those specs I cant use full lock without touching (doesnt bother me other then the noise), I have my helpers out, front is wound down so the adjuster JUST clears the tyres, my tyres have been catching the outer front guards due to living in the country and dealing with some of the worst roads.
REAR: I noticed my rear JUST touches the tyre on the outside right down where it mounts to the wheel (must have been a huge bump to get 1" of travel out of my coilovers)

my teledials were also based off the same final outside position but with a 9 and 225/40 on the back.
florantonio's black porsche wheels are also based on the same outer positions. except with 8s and 205/40s all round.
So check out either of those for reference.

So if i were you id go 8.5et30f, 8.5et25r with 215/40s all round. only down side to running staggered wheels/offsets if not being able to rotate wheels front to rear, but in your case your could just have the tyres swapped to keep even wear.

Et25 on the back poke at all? Some of the photos look like they do but could just be the angle. I'm also not as low as you so they'd sit out further yeh?
They're also 19" so I'm guessing 215 35 or hopefully 225 35's? Instead of 40 profile.

Running Ta Technix coilovers. budget coilovers, but not sure if they are just rebadged HTs or a completely different brand...?
in the rear one side pokes ~1mm the other doesn't... but given I'm running a extra deg yours will sit out ~2mm more at the top and ~2mm less at the bottom.
so yes, a little more height and should poke a touch, (hopefully enough to blend in from the 5-0, but enough to turn heads)
depends how you have the car sitting too. a lot of guys on here tend to go level side skirts, where as mine is kept the forward rake the car came with.

yeah go some 215/35s, i have some falken 452 215/35s on my 8.5s and they fit nicely and keep the rolling diameter down. but then again if you are higher check out my pics in the same thread with the black Axis Pentas, they were 19x8.5et35 all round with 225/35 tyres.

You dont have to, but id suggest looking into getting your front arches rolled down the track as i bet you will end up going lower then planned

Ah ok. Cool. You had no issues with the Pentas being et35 at the front?
The Pentas were cool wheels. I'll run through your thread. I might end up going for something like et30 all round. Might be easier.
I dont think I'll go much lower! Can't even get into the garage at this point without some pieces of pine!! Haha.

they cleared the struts no worries (however i did leave them wound down too far one time and the adjuster wore a grove into the tyre)
They rubbed a bit on the inside of the arches. from memory, JLT ran them with spacers, random ran them without spacers on his S3, Silverdub ran them without spacers, and I ran them without spacers, lower then the last two, and basically wore out the inside of the front tyres.
So 30 is probably a better option...

Just so you know on my 4mo I ran into trouble with an 18x8.5 +30 clearing the brake calliper so I had to buy a 5mm spacer. I also had to get the front guards rolled but I personally really like the fitment at the front.

cheers jp, have you any pictures of et25 in the front?
also, i have purchased these wheels. going to get et30 front and et25 rear; if i run into clearance issues i can use the 25 on the front and get a 5mm spacer for the rears. (4mo's have 312mm where as gti has 288mm)

another question, looking at tyres, i found some pzero nero's in 215x35x19 but they have a load rating of 85w.. will these be ok or do i really need a load rating of 91 or higher???

HA, i think i know the exact tyres you were looking at.
legally you cant run it because of the load rating, but that doesnt stop people doing it, basically the load rating is the 85, that number converts to how much weight you can apply to each wheel, the w is to do with the speed rating (how fast the tyres will go before problems)
so really you should have 91 or higher by law. lots of guys, including myself, run smaller then standard load rating. think i have 89 on the flat5s, had below 85 once up front and didnt have any issues... you might find some 215/35s a little higher, but itll only be like 86-87, doubt you will get 91. I think my old 225/35/19s had 88

Hmm. I can get some federal 595rpm that are 225x35x19 that are 91 but then again they're 225's.
As for the design. They have a 45mm lip. Ive got about 15-17mm inner clearance at the moment and the I'm quite sure the caliper won't foul on the wheel from my measurements. Those pirrelis are cheap at 150 a pop but mid 2008 maybe a little on the old side too.
Decisions decisions.
Pretty sure I'm going to go a brilliant silver for the centers (as they custom paint to order)

ummm yes and no... its all about the distance from the furtherest rear point of the spokes and how far the wheels mounting face sticks out from that... so yes, a lot of dished wheels can have this problem, but also a badly designed wheel with no dish could do it.
