Mk4 Golf 1.6L Auto Transmission - How much?

I have no clue so I've turned to the wonderful citizens of VWW...

My sister's 1.6L Golf needs a new transmission and she was quoted $2100 to have a second hand one fitted. Too much?

Dont know about the autos, but the manuals can cost about that. A good 1.6 gearbox is not easy to find. The manual gearbox is worth way more than the engine.

Having said that, I still have the engine and gearbox from mine, so if she wants a manual conversion, let me know (less than $2100 )

It is abit to much, is that included new oil and and filter or just gearbox plus labourer,..
second hand transmisions they are around $1000,1200-1500 plus labourer around 500+-.
I had one sitting for while... on the end sold for much less then 1k with only 30000kms...
