I cant remember who, but someone else fitted an r32 exhaust on a v6 4motion recently, they had their bumper modified to fit the two seperated tail pipes. Looked pretty good, ill try dig it up. Notice much from the pod other than intake noise?

    Cheers Pedro.
Yuppers, that was me. Still not done properly though, not happy with the rear bar and i tacked the flapper shut like a nooblet.

Went to an exhaust shop today for a chat about getting it put in, f$#king retards said oh sure mate we will just block that side off and extend this tip out $500!

Now I am a pretty nice guy I like to think, hell I even be nice to the churchy door knockers but I actually told these 2 wankers what I thought before laughing and leaving. Peformance Exhausts in Coburg... avoid them like the plague. I will be giving the guys at Ringwood a call in the morning

Have a nice little switch in the post for the flapper and tricking up a solenoid to run it using the old diaphram mounting bracket with some OEM+ wiring back up into the fuse box. Will start closed so its nice and quiet until out on the road when I can get some funk on

Tell whoever you go to that there's quite a few other guys on this forum wanting to do the same mod so if they can give a good price they'll get repeat business for the same job.

Going into Ringwood Performance Exhausts (not associated with the Coburg guys even though its the same name) on Monday for a hoist up and quote. They were much nicer over the phone and genuinely interested in the job, also said it would only take half a day at most even with the tight mandrel bends if there is enough room at the back. Cant get the work done till the 2nd as I have a work trip next week but will let everyone know about the price and general feelings about the place

I'd be happy to post up the time and cost of folks are interested, either before or after you do, for comparison.

Well its a long way to Ringwood but worth it I think. The quote is about the same at approx $500 with 4-5 hours work mainly in the mandrel bends at the end and the pancake delete but the guys were much nicer really having a look at all the bits and pieces. Only way to make it a little cheaper is to see if I can mount the new pipes myself and either just get the new sections put in by the shop of find some nice forum member with a tig welder and a couple hours of spare time.

Got my FUNK switch in the post today for the flapper, just need to source a solenoid with a 20mm stroke and do all the wiring but that will come after the exhaust is installed. Will just tie it open for the time being.

where will you mount the switch?

That is the only problem I find with the Bora 4motion, it's fully optioned so there are no blank switch locations

Yeah there arent any free spaces but the switch is like the fuel release and alarm disabler so I will find a trim panel with enough clearance behind it. Want the switch to be easily accesible and easily viewed as well... why have a button that says FUNK and makes the exhaust louder if you cant see it

After being away for work for 2 weeks I finally got to pick up a couple of packages for some cosmetic upgrades. Pics always help

                        Some modern styling...

The grill needs to be painted before I fit it but I am not sure if I should leave the mesh silver or give it a hit with some gloss black given I am going for the black on black look with a few accents here and there like leaving the chrome strips.

my advice with the grill: paint it black and leave the mesh silver to see what it looks like first; then if you want to go the whole way, do it.

I personally went with the black badge and red grill; black on black might work for you

Yeah I will be going the black badge, just ordered the grill with silver so I have the option as I have black and silver rear badges as well. Should be picking up the paint for the grill this afternoon and fingers crossed getting the exhaust fit tomorrow or friday ready for the weekend.

Still need to get tires but the budget is utterly destroyed this month so will be going for 2 only and putting them on the front as the current fronts still have 5k in them and will grip like the proverbial to a blanket on the rear. Hopefully saturday for that job ready for spirited driving in the arvo

what paint are you going to use ? I just got some glossy black spray paint for the badge; but got a guy to take the grill away and paint it (didn't trust myself..)
